Why complete a SIV/ACRO course?

SIV basically means safety or security in flight (derived from French). Whether you are just looking to understand how your wing reacts to different types of deflations/collapses and how you should subsequently react, or you would like to learn more dynamic manoeuvers such as spirals, wingovers, SAT's and other acro tricks. This course will help you with your personal progression in a safe and enjoyable way.

Glider in fully serviceable condition

Harness with adequate back protection. We fly over water but take off and touch down over land

Suitable reserve parachute system that has been checked and repacked within the last 12 months.

We will use the Midland G7 Pro radios so ideally the same or a radio which can transmit between 142.100 up to 146.400

We prefer to have an onboard camera for each flight so that we can see in detail each action and reaction within the debriefs. This is preferred to be a 360 camera but any action camera will work. We can provide leg mounts if none are available.
